We want to hire ambitious, and value-adding talent into Modulr.  Modulr is experiencing significant growth, and this role of the Office Assistant role within Modulr will support the European team and also work closely with colleagues across the business.

We are deeply integrated into the payment eco-system. In the UK, we are direct participants of Faster Payments and Bacs. Modulr hold settlement accounts at the Bank of England. Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA, SWIFT and account issuance in 11 currencies. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard schemes across UK and Europe.   

Our regulatory permissions and governance structure are the foundations of our business. We are regulated and supervised as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (AEMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.

We are looking to hire high-energy, and value-adding talent to join Modulr, the payments business in the UK and Europe, to support the General Manager Europe office and Team members in our Amsterdam office. The role will cover a range of ad-hoc projects to push our rapidly scaling business forward in Europe.  This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-growth environment with a fast-paced and collaborative culture and be instrumental in accelerating our growth. 

Key responsibilities 

The Office Assistant role within Modulr will support the European team and also work closely with colleagues across the business. You will be responsible for office administration, mail, scheduling meetings and team events, as well as everyday office maintenance and improvements. You will be the first port of call for office issues and concerns - working between the team and building management to keep things operating smoothly. This is a part-time, role that will require the individual to be based in our Amsterdam office 4/5 days a week. 

  • Administrative Support: responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the team. This includes scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and organising travel arrangements as and when required. This role will also support on-boarding activities like setting up access, travel cards and initial induction days.  
  • Office Operations: oversee the day-to-day support within the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This may involve ordering and maintaining office supplies, managing inventory, coordinating with vendors, and resolving any operational issues that may arise. 
  • Communication and Coordination: effective communication and coordination are crucial in a fast-paced environment. The Office Assistant should facilitate communication among team members, departments, and external stakeholders. This includes managing email correspondence and serving as a point of contact for inquiries. 
  • Event Planning: events such as client meetings and conferences. We are also planning an office move which will require co-ordination.  

 About you: 

The successful Office Assistant will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.
