Partner Solution Architect 

Role Overview:

Reporting into the VP of North America Partner Sales, as a Partner Solution Architect (PSA) at Sumo Logic, you will be at the forefront of driving our platform's adoption within the reseller and MSSP ecosystem. Serving as the primary technical liaison, you'll collaborate closely with partner sales and sales engineering teams to educate, inspire, and enable our partners in effectively positioning and leveraging Sumo Logic's solutions. Your consultative approach will be instrumental in aligning partners' requirements with the capabilities of our platform, thereby fostering lasting partnerships and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in Log Analytics, Observability, and Security, guiding VARs and MSSPs in understanding and maximizing the value of our platform.
  • Collaborate with Partner Sales Team to identify and onboard new partners, driving successful recruitment initiatives.
  • Lead efficient Proof of Value engagements with prospective MSSPs, demonstrating the tangible benefits of integrating Sumo Logic into their service offerings.
  • Conduct training sessions geared towards partner technical representatives and drive technical certification adoption.
  • Empower existing partners to deliver compelling demonstrations of Sumo Logic's services to potential clients, emphasizing the tailored solutions we provide.
  • Assist partners in crafting robust business plans and implementing best practices to optimize their partnership with Sumo Logic.
  • Facilitate seamless communication channels between partners and internal teams, conveying partner feedback and requirements to drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent Sumo Logic at partner and marketing events, showcasing our ecosystem and fostering valuable connections.
  • Contribute expertise to thought leadership content such as blogs and white papers, enriching the partner community's knowledge base.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Three years of experience in selling, supporting, or implementing enterprise solutions within VARs and MSSPs. Preferred experience supporting VARs such as (CDW, SHI, Presidio, Optiv, Converge, Guidepoint, Trace3).
  • Preferred direct or indirect experience with other security and analytics platforms such as: Sumo Logic, Splunk, New Relic, DataDog, Exabeam, Sentinel, LogRhythm
  • Proficiency with at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in crafting data analytics queries (e.g., Sumo Logic, Splunk, SQL, Kibana).
  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise technology, including servers, networking devices, SaaS solutions, and Cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), regular expressions, REST APIs, and JSON.
  • Proven track record of engaging directly with partners to address technical and business challenges effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong business and technical acumen.
  • Previous experience in delivering technical training.
  • Background in log management and/or security is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region, up to 50%.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - 112,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings.
