Role Summary

The Partner Technical Manager (PTM) Program Manager drives operational excellence and scalability of the PTM program across the APJ region. Pure Storage is committed to fostering a world-class technical channel community, dedicating 100% of its sales transactions to the channel. This role ensures consistent execution, visibility, and alignment across the PTM community and Pure’s partner ecosystem. The PTM Program Manager is responsible for standardizing program governance, tracking KPIs, and coordinating enablement and reporting activities to ensure PTMs can focus on partner impact while SE leadership gains real-time visibility into performance and business outcomes. 

This position is not a people manager but acts as the program lead and operational hub, working cross-functionally to align with SE Directors, PAMs, Partner Enablement, Marketing, and Product teams.

Core Objectives
  • Program Governance & Consistency: Maintain a unified PTM Framework, cadence, and process discipline across APJ.
  • KPI Tracking & Performance Visibility: Manage PTM performance dashboards and deliver analytics for leadership visibility.
  • Operational Enablement: Coordinate content, campaigns, SE Bootcamps, and readiness initiatives across PTMs and functional teams.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Connect PTMs with Partner account Manager (PAM) Regional SE Leaders, Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, to ensure strategic alignment with global programs and initiatives
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify best practices and evolve the PTM operating model for scalability and impact
Key Responsibilities Program Governance & Structure
  • Maintain and evolve the PTM Role & Responsibility Framework, playbooks, and program documentation.
  • Ensure consistent execution of Partner Technical Account Plans (TAPs) and PTM reporting cadence across regions.
  • Manage the quarterly PTM calendar including QBRs, TAP reviews, bootcamps, and enablement checkpoints and share best practices within the global PTM community.
  • Partner with SE Directors to align PTM activities to business priorities and account segmentation.
  • Act as the communication hub for the PTM community, distributing updates, templates, and process guidance.
  • Sponsor Key Focus partners across the region, participate in QBRs and business reviews with these partners.
KPI Tracking & Reporting
  • Own and manage PTM KPI dashboards covering pipeline impact, partner autonomy, certifications, and workload growth.
  • Consolidate and report regional PTM performance through Clari, Tableau, or SFDC dashboards.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance summaries by district and partner.
  • Identify trends, track ROI, and highlight risks or underperformance to SE Leadership.
  • Maintain a centralized data repository for PTM performance metrics and reporting history.
  • Manage Partner SE certification and accreditation via Partner Dashboard
Operational Enablement & Asset Management
  • Curate, manage, and standardize enablement materials, templates, and training content.
  • Coordinate with Enablement and Marketing to align regional and global content updates.
  • Maintain a structured content library ensuring ease of access and content freshness.
  • Track enablement campaign performance (bootcamps, workshops, webinars) through attendance and feedback reports.
Cross-Functional & Partner Alignment
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between PTMs, SE Leadership, PAMs, and Product teams.
  • Ensure alignment with Partner Marketing and Channel Operations for integrated GTM motions.
  • Support engagement with Distributors for tracking partner readiness and enablement execution.
  • Capture and circulate best practices, field success stories, and insights for regional sharing.

 

Continuous Improvement & Program Development
  • Capture PTM and partner feedback to evolve program design, tooling, and processes.
  • Lead quarterly program health reviews and maturity assessments.
  • Identify automation or process improvements to reduce administrative load on PTMs.
  • Benchmark APJ PTM program against global standards and propose enhancements.
Ideal Profile
  • 7+ years in technical enablement, channel SE operations, or SE program management.
  • Ability to lead from influence 
  • Strong understanding of technical sales motions and partner ecosystems.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (SFDC, Tableau, Clari).
  • Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Proven pedigree of working on and leading large transformation projects
  • Ability to work cooperatively with sales and alliance teams in delivering compelling messaging to engineers, data professionals and/or architects within strategic accounts
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with proactive ideas that will increase sales around target solutions
Reporting & Collaboration
  • Reports to: VP, Systems Engineering APJ  
  • Works closely with: PTMs, SE Directors, PAMs, Channel Enablement, Marketing, and Product Management.
