The Role

Crunchyroll is looking for a professional with experience in partnership and theatrical marketing in India and Southeast Asia to support the execution and operations of all Crunchyroll’s partnership marketing initiatives in both regions. This individual will work with various internal teams, business partners, and third parties to support the execution of initiatives for SVOD subscriber growth, expand brand awareness, and drive revenue and box office sales. 

The GTM & Partnership Marketing team

Both domestic and ever-expanding international efforts fuel Crunchyroll's growth. The GTM & Partnership Marketing team, as part of the Regional and Emerging Markets organization, is responsible for working with global regions to support and bring to life Crunchyroll’s Strategy & Planning’s vision, business goals, and priorities. The team also works cross-functionally to support and lead app, distribution, channel, and brand partnerships from a Marketing perspective to delight and super-serve anime fans, expanding Crunchyroll's footprint and brand awareness worldwide.

About You

This full-time role requires a curious, hardworking, high-achieving marketing professional with an intrapreneur mindset, growth attitude, and high EQ. The ideal candidate is resilient and capable of remaining calm and focused while navigating ambiguity, and at the same time, flexible and with the ability to play different roles according to the situation. On top of that, this individual must have a proven track record and familiarity with the marketing, theatrical, media, pop culture, and B2B landscapes in the India and Southeast Asia regions.

Responsibilities
  • Support the vision and work with Partnership Marketing leadership, Marketing, Partner Management, Theatrical, Business Development, and regional teams to operationalize and lead the execution of all Crunchyroll’s partnership marketing initiatives in the India and Southeast Asia regions
  • Support the development and keep frameworks and playbooks updated to ensure standards, good practices, learnings, and processes are followed and shared across teams
  • Build rapport and become a reference for cross-functional teams while in the execution of partnership marketing activities
  • Support the evaluation of proposals from partners in the India and Southeast Asia regions, helping assess cost and benefit and prioritizing them
  • Help build business cases, projections, and metrics for initiatives in the India and Southeast Asia regions, measuring return on investment and effort spent
  • Partner with cross-functional team members and PMO to manage and update regional action plans and integrated calendars
  • Own the management of local partners requests and the operations of partnership marketing projects initiated by Crunchyroll, which includes reporting, creative briefing and requests, approvals management, title selection process, contract and invoice management, asset management, project management, and similar activities
Requirements
  • 8+ years of work experience in a global or international organization in the entertainment, tech, media, or video game spaces
  • Understanding of the contemporary business, marketing, theatrical, media, pop culture, OTT, and telco landscapes in the India and Southeast Asia regions with experience supporting complex, multifaceted deals and partnerships
  • A very organized and collaborative individual with high EQ capable of navigating priority shifts and ambiguities while working across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • A down-to-earth approach to work and a passion for serving and meticulously supporting their team, leaders, partners, and teammates
  • Strengths across creative briefing, management of creative process, pitch decks, business, and strategy plan development
  • Prior success in working in a distributed team environment with peers and partners in multiple time zones and locations across the world, with various cultures and backgrounds
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency in English is required; additional local languages are a plus
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Knowledge of the streaming and theatrical industries, subscription-based business models, and the OTT market in the India and Southeast Asia regions is preferred
  • Anime knowledge and previous theatrical marketing experience are a major plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
