As a member of our Payment Review team, the Payment Review Representative will play a key role in reviewing and monitoring all incoming and outgoing payments to ensure that all transactions comply with Payoneer’s terms and conditions. The primary objectives of this role are to onboard account holders and to provide smooth payment processing while simultaneously preventing payments that may potentially infringe on Payoneer’s terms of service. Keeping both fraud concerns and compliance regulations in mind is a core function of the Payment Review team.

This role will be based in our New York, NY office.

What you’ll do:

  • Review all incoming and outgoing payments into our account holder accounts while considering customer tier, payment amount, market regulations, compliance and risk regulations
  • Detect suspicious or fraudulent behavior patterns by using sophisticated in-house built monitoring systems
  • Investigate source of funds and communicate directly with account holders
  • Report to internal and external providers while maintaining operational SLAs
  • Achieve daily goals around productivity and quality

What we’re looking for:

  • Associate or Bachelors Degree
  • Experience in the world of online payments preferred
  • 1-3 years of customer facing experience
  • A proven self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and investigative skills
  • Ability to cope with changing requirements and different regulations per financial flow
  • Proven multi-tasker, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work both as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Ability to make timely decisions, at times despite ambiguous processes or guidelines

Not a must but a great advantage:

  • Experience with risk or payment investigations
  • Additional languages

In accordance with New York City Law, below is the annual base salary range for this position. Actual annual base salary is based on, but not limited to: experience, education, professional licenses, location and business needs. The position is eligible for health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k plan, paid-time off, and sick (and where applicable safe) leave. This position is also eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $50,000 - $60,000.
