THE ROLEWe are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst with strong General Ledger (GL) experience, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, solid analytical skills, and familiarity with AI-driven tools and automation. The ideal candidate will support global payroll operations, enhance process efficiency through technology, and collaborate closely with internal partners and third-party payroll providers.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Manage and resolve employee payroll inquiries using the ticketing system, ensuring timely follow-up and high-quality service.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from HR, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with third-party payroll providers and internal teams to support accurate and timely monthly payroll processing for Pure Storage employees.
  • Verify, validate, and reconcile data received from HR systems and external partners.
  • Prepare and post payroll results in line with established deadlines prior to Payroll Manager approval.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll controls, corporate policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Support the coordination, optimization, and continued development of payroll services.
  • Participate in internal initiatives and cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Identify weaknesses in existing workflows, propose solutions, and implement improvements using data insights and automation.
  • Assist with year-end reporting, audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Perform payroll-related GL reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Utilize AI-driven tools and automation platforms to streamline payroll processes, enhance data accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
  • Analyze payroll and HR datasets using AI-assisted analytics to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for optimization.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes (both in-house and vendor-managed).
  • Understanding of payroll accounting, including GL posting, reconciliation, and payroll-to-ledger mapping.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-country payroll operations, preferably through a global payroll vendor.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, lookups, data modeling).
  • Strong data analysis abilities, including interpreting trends, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with AI or automation tools (e.g., chatbots, RPA, AI-enhanced analytics, or workflow automation platforms).
  • Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with HR systems (SAP/SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, etc.) is a plus.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.

This is a fixed-term role to cover a period of maternity leave. 

 

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
