Job description

The Payroll Lead ANZ will report to the Director of People and Culture and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless, efficient and accurate processing of payroll for all employees across Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, you'll oversee the entire payroll function, ensuring compliance and will collaborate with operations and management teams across the ANZ business to design, develop, and adapt tools that support critical processes, including payroll automation and efficiency improvements. By working with cross-functional teams, you'll help drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure payroll processes align with the company's strategic objectives.

You will...

  • Lead, grow and develop the Payroll Manager and Payroll team members
  • Responsible for the end-to-end payroll process across the HelloFresh Group across weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
  • Lead the development and implementation of people systems and payroll projects  across the ANZ region
  • Lead the implementation of  people projects across the HelloFresh Group ANZ and global harmonization initiatives
  • Oversee payroll BAU payroll activities across the business
  • Development of HFG wide payroll reporting
  • Support and coach members leaders across the business and be a point of escalation on Payroll topics
  • Ensure payroll compliance to HelloFresh Group ANZ organization compliance with modern awards, NES and local employment laws, and HelloFresh local and global procedures.
  • Identifies training needs for business units specific to payroll.

You have…

  • Proven payroll management experience, 5+ years with end to end, high volume payroll processing 
  • Strong award interpretation experience & good knowledge of labor legislation
  • Experience with ADP Payforce and ADP Realtime (Kronos experience also highly regarded)
  • Problem solving and decision making skills. 

You are…

  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
  • Trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Well-versed in Human Resources, particularly in areas such as employee relations, policy development related to remuneration, benefits, and pay cycles.
  • Independent and capable of managing the payroll function autonomously, while also collaborating effectively with compliance, finance, and other business functions.

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia
