Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking Payroll Specialists  to support the  APJ payroll operations, working with the APJ Payroll Team in India. The person in this role will process and assist in delivering first in class payroll service to our employees, ensure compliance, accuracy and timely delivery of payroll related tasks and support the statutory compliance of jurisdictions.  This role will be located in India.

About the job

Twilio is looking for a processor  who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of managing payroll across multiple countries in APJ. They also have:

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Oversee the payroll processing and management of assigned payrolls.
  • After necessary training, support the international payroll processing for multiple countries.
  • Download monthly payroll reports for the Workday system.
  • Follow the standard processes and controls.
  • Preparation of vendor payroll input templates for payroll input and loading to vendor UI platform.
  • Act as a point of contact for all payroll related queries from employees in India and other assigned countries.
  • Effectively collaborate with the payroll vendor to ensure that all pay impacting transactions are collected, processed, and reported timely and accurately.
  •  Assist the Accounting Team with payroll journal and accrual preparations and the reconciliations of payroll general ledger balances.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide support and input when required.
  • Act as a point of contact for all payroll related queries from employees for other assigned payrolls.
  • Deliver excellent employee experience in relation to ServiceNow queries. 
  • Understand employment tax requirements relating to compensation and benefits, including equity.
  • Highlight the problems if anything is not going well.
  • Help improve payroll-related documentation and procedures.
  • Adhere to all legal and internal deadlines.

Required:

  • 3 to 5  years of experience managing payroll processing knowledge in APJ.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or another relevant field
  • Discipline and ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
  • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills while keeping customer experience top of mind)
  • Experience in payrolls in jurisdictions India and APJ.
