We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. (Note: this is not applicable for EpiSci roles).

About the role

We’re hiring our first-ever People hire in EMEA—a foundational role with broad scope, strategic visibility, and high impact. You’ll be the go-to People expert across Germany and other European locations, partnering closely with managers and employees while building scalable, employee-first systems from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned People professional who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and is eager to help shape our global culture.

You’ll own a wide range of People programs—from HR operations, mobility, and compliance to employee engagement, coaching, and organizational design. You’ll also partner closely with our U.S. People team to ensure consistency, drive clarity, and continuously raise the bar across all things People.

At Applied Intuition, you will:
  • Serve as the primary People Business Partner for Germany and other EMEA regions, owning the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding and development to performance and offboarding.
  • Be the trusted partner to local managers and employees, advising on talent management, team effectiveness, employee relations, compensation, and organizational design.
  • Build and refine core HR infrastructure for ouer European offices: local policies, benefits, compliance, immigration processes, and vendor relationships.
  • Manage key People systems and tools, including HRIS (Rippling), Greenhouse, JIRA, and PAVE, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Own and scale high-impact global programs like international mobility, onboarding, site leadership, and alumni engagement.
  • Partner with leadership and Finance to drive org design, workforce planning, and cross-border collaboration.
  • Contribute to global initiatives (e.g. reorgs, performance management cycles, culture and engagement programs), bringing local insight to global strategies.
We're looking for someone who has:
  • 8+ years of experience in HR/People Operations, ideally in a high-growth tech environment
  • Strong understanding of German labor laws, compliance, and employment practices
  • Experience building programs and policies from scratch with an eye toward scalability and global alignment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills—able to influence across all levels
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • High EQ, cultural awareness, and a deep sense of ownership and accountability
Nice to have:
  • Experience supporting international teams or working in a global People function
  • Background in mobility, immigration, or international HR compliance
  • Fluency in German
  • Experience with our People tech stack (Rippling, Carta, Greenhouse, JIRA, PAVE)
  • Experience implementing Workday
