We are actively seeking a People Business Partner to support our Customer Support (post-sales) organizations.  This position will lead, support, and facilitate the delivery of People services to the organizations while delivering high impact and value. The PBP, will work closely with the leadership teams and provide expert advice and coaching to drive and support their business objectives. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued, included, and equipped to excel.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic consultant to management on all things related to HR, including organizational design, workforce planning, and leadership development. Guide and coach leaders on appropriately managing and resolving complex People issues.
  • Talent Management: Collaborate and consult with the COEs on the design and delivery of People programs to deliver effective solutions to the business. Implement strategies to retain and develop top talent and drive the development of a high-performing organization.
  • HR Advocacy: Partner with team members throughout the People organization to communicate and educate on policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI initiatives to cultivate an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives are valued and reflected at all company levels.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to inform decision-making, track progress against HR objectives, and identify areas for improvement across the business.
  • Change Management: Support the organization through changes by guiding change management strategies, communication plans, and training programs.
  • Program Management: Provide consultative support and guidance to managers on implementation/execution of core People programs.
  • Understand the client groups, strategy, challenges, business initiatives, and business structure.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Minimum 5  years HR related work experience, preferably with a technology company, with strong experience partnering with leadership teams to align HR goals with organizational goals.
  • Able to build relationships, develop credibility with internal clients
  • Experience working with global organizations.
  • Experience supporting teams of 200+ employees.
  • Exceptional full-cycle HR knowledge. Proven Ability to design and implement people practices that drive engagement and performance across the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in driving HR initiatives that contribute to business goals.
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability skills in a fast-growing environment, while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving and changing environment.
  • Ability to cope with pressure maintaining a high standard of deliverables.
  • Highly developed in taking initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets in Excel and Google spreadsheets are preferred. A strong understanding of using HR metrics to drive organizational performance is also a plus.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual OTE range for this position for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$90,000—$149,000 USD The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:$111,000—$167,000 USD
