The goal of the function is to create a higher degree of engagement for all company employees to ensure leadership can be more reactive to issues at the ground level and find solutions to ensure Appian stays a talent magnet.

The ideal candidate is experienced in designing and running people engagement strategy. Create and maintain engagement calendars to ensure timely and relevant delivery. Own the relationship with the Culture Amp platform as the SPOC from Appian to ensure we are leveraging the platform features for all employee engagement needs.

  • Analyze the engagement data from surveys and draw insights by combining other key metrics available across Appian (e.g. training data, sales performance data) to create meaningful analysis on people engagement and organizational effectiveness. Present information from insights to executives that may be included in weekly executive briefing.

  • Partner with key organizational stakeholders to debrief on findings and align on key activities/projects/actions that will be undertaken to improve people engagement in respective departments.

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of engagement activities; make recommendations and implement changes based on data analysis and feedback.

  • Provide support to complex, fast-moving, planned and unplanned projects to support broader employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with R or Python to synthesize analytical data and create meaningful insights

  • Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to detailed execution

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously, while continuing to maintain a team player attitude

  • Ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues that may result in negative employee sentiment/engagement

  • Ability to exercise high quality judgment, particularly with narrow timeframes

  • Excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple focus areas and contexts simultaneously
