We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative People Operations Coordinator to join our team, based in our Head Office in Downtown Toronto. In this role, you will support the People Operations (Shared Services) function and be known for your knowledge of People programs and efficient management of processes and tools.    Your primary goal will be ensuring the delivery of high-quality People services and support to internal customers while maintaining compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

  • Act as a frontline support to employees and managers, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on People policies and procedures.
  • Manage the entire new hire onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.
  • Take ownership and oversee the administration of employee benefit programs, maintaining employee satisfaction.
  • Ownership and program management of specific People programs, ensuring their successful development, implementation and ongoing management.
  • Become an expert user in our People systems, including HCM (Workday) and time and attendance (Quinyx). Leverage your expertise to optimize system usage, ensure data hygiene, security and drive process improvements.
  • Fosters strong relationships with other members of the People team and subject matter experts to ensure productive collaboration and engagement in building and rolling out new people processes.
  • Analyze data and observations as they relate to the type and frequency of employee and manager inquiries, identifying trends and providing data-driven recommendations and solutions as appropriate.
  • All other duties, as assigned

  • Completed diploma/degree in Human Resources, or related field 
  • Minimum 1-2 years in Human Resources, office administration, or executive support
  • Knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, plus excellent organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, high judgement, critical thinking and analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including active listening and proofreading
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion, especially as it relates to sensitive candidate information
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet). Knowledge of Excel Macros would be an asset.
  • Experience with HRIS, or other related databases and software (we use Workday and Quinyx)
