The roleWe are seeking an experienced People Operations Partner to join us for a 12 month fixed term period. Working in close partnership with stakeholders across People & Culture (P&C), Technical Operations & Analytics (TOA), and Google to enable global people operations effectiveness across GDM’s people systems, data and tech. The role reports into the Head of People Operations.
Key responsibilities- Drive operational excellence across the P&C ecosystem by providing technical expertise and thought leadership with a specific focus on people data, systems, and tech.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, leveraging AI within P&C to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Support the delivery of cross-functional projects with meaningful thought-partnering, providing direction to teams, and developing the capabilities of others.
- Coach and mentor P&C team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Act as a trusted advisor and internal consultant on people analytics, providing strategic guidance and recommendations to P&C stakeholders and collaborating with CAT to ensure the effective implementation of the analytics roadmap.
- Responsible for People Ops data spoke (including relevant access approvals).
- Responsible for developing a holistic view of GDM’s people systems and formulating a people systems strategy that drives long-term improvements.
- Sought out to advise senior leaders with choices related to technical expertise.
- Support the end-to-end delivery of critical discipline-specific complex projects.
In order to set you up for success as a People Operations Partner at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
- Experience working with a variety of different people systems and experience of implementing a new people system.
- You are able to translate the technical for a non-technical audience.
- You possess a process and systems mindset and are experienced at process design.
- You can run with a brief and are comfortable dealing with ambiguity. When something you are working on changes, you adapt comfortably with a readiness to learn.
- You are collaborative in your approach to stakeholder management and adept at influencing stakeholders at varying levels within the org. You regularly form project proposals, including improvements to processes or ways of working.
- You are highly organised with experience of managing your own workload across an array of activity and projects.
- Agile and flexible, you are looking to learn from others at every opportunity.
- Enjoy a fast paced environment with frequent change.
- You have experience partnering with other teams and have good communication skills, with a natural ability to build relationships across an organisation, instilling trust and creating understanding.
In addition, the following would be an advantage:
- Experience using Workday and / or Greenhouse people systems.
- Experience working with external account managers and influencing technical roadmaps
