Join the rocket ship while it's taking off! 🚀As a People Operations Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for all things operational in the employee lifecycle. You'll partner closely with our Talent, Security, and IT teams to ensure new joiners are set up for success, keep our People systems running smoothly, and drive operational excellence across every touchpoint of an employee’s journey.
This is an ideal role for someone who’s comfortable working independently or in a small team and has had some exposure to working with EU locations and EORs. You’ll enjoy being hands-on, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done. We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely passionate about People Ops and who brings a systems-thinking mindset to how we support and scale our employee experience. What You’ll Be Doing Employee Lifecycle Management- Own and execute key lifecycle processes from pre-onboarding to offboarding
- Maintain our HRIS (HiBob) as the single source of truth - keep it tidy, up-to-date, and fully leveraged
- Work closely with the People Ops team to review and leverage data
- Draft and issue employment-related letters (e.g., references, change of contract, promotions)
- Serve as the main admin contact for employee benefits and liaise with our brokers to address queries and renewals
- Support internal mobility processes including relocations, visa sponsorships, role changes, and team moves ensuring our HRIS is updated accordingly
- Partner with finance to ensure payroll is accurate
- Drive process improvements and automations, from reviewing existing processes to embedding AI in people operations
- Own and deliver a range of People team projects including policy revamp, new system implementation and creating playbooks
- Collaborate with Talent for a smooth candidate to employee handover and assist with any contractual and right to work questions
- Manage all pre-onboarding activities including welcome emails, contract generation and amendments, partnering with EORs, background checks (Certn)
- Work with our People and Office Coordinator to deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience that is smooth, structured, and engaging
- Continuously iterate on our onboarding programme to embed culture, clarity, and community
- Support the creation and delivery of clear, timely and engaging internal communications related to People processes, policies, and updates
- Collaborate with the wider People team to launch initiatives, ensuring the right messages reach the right people via the right channels (Slack, Notion, email, all-hands, etc.)
- Maintain and update our People content on Notion, making sure everything from onboarding guides to policies is easy to find, accurate, and employee-friendly
- Champion transparency and clarity across all internal touchpoints, helping create a culture of informed, empowered employees
- Partner with our Security team to ensure 100% completion of mandatory compliance training
- Maintain up-to-date employee records, manage right-to-work documentation, and track policy acknowledgements
- Support internal audits by preparing accurate and compliant data
- 2–4 years’ experience in a People Operations, HR Coordinator/Specialist, or similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently or in a small team, with a wide scope of responsibilities
- Strong working knowledge of the employee lifecycle and UK employment practices
- Experience supporting teams across EU countries, with awareness of local compliance and cultural nuances
- High attention to detail and a love of efficient, structured processes
- Comfortable with HR tools, (HiBob experience is a huge plus) and excited by opportunities to improve systems and automate workflows
- Empathetic, clear communicator with a problem-solving mindset
- Interest in internal communications - you care not only about delivering great People work, but also how it's shared, received, and understood by employees
- Passionate about the potential of AI in People Operations and excited to work on forward-thinking projects
