You’ll be part of our Global People Team, working side by side with leaders in Engineering, Finance, and GRC and Legal to strengthen SumUp’s people experience in Brazil. Reporting to our Head of People in Berlin, you’ll connect strategy and execution, bringing global initiatives to life locally.

Your focus will be on building strong partnerships with leaders, creating clarity amid complexity, and ensuring that our people's practices support both performance and growth. You’ll also take ownership of strategic people projects, helping us scale sustainably.

What you’ll do
  • Act as the main People Partner contact for Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams in Brazil.
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders, offering clear, data-informed guidance on people topics.
  • Navigate SumUp’s frameworks, tools, and systems to become the go-to advisor for the local teams.
  • Deliver key initiatives end to end, from performance and engagement to onboarding, and compliance.
  • Coordinate strategic people initiatives involving structure, governance, and process improvement across teams.
  • Collaborate with Compensation, People Ops, Talent Acquisition, and global People Partners to create scalable, consistent frameworks.
  • Facilitate sessions and workshops that strengthen collaboration, alignment, and culture within our teams.
  • Use people's data and insights to inform decisions and improve retention and engagement.
You’ll be great for this role if
  • You have proven experience as a People Partner or HR Specialist, ideally supporting global or matrixed teams.
  • You’re skilled at managing multiple stakeholders with empathy, clarity, and diplomacy.
  • You have strong knowledge of Brazilian labour law, compensation, and compliance practices.
  • You thrive in dynamic, complex environments and know how to bring rhythm and clarity to evolving priorities.
  • You’re confident in managing projects from planning to delivery, aligning stakeholders along the way.
  • You enjoy combining strategic partnership with hands-on execution, always focusing on practical impact.
  • You’re curious, proactive, and see challenges as opportunities to build better structures and processes.
Why you should join SumUp
  • You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders in Brazil and Europe, becoming a trusted advisor on both strategic and operational topics.
  • You’ll report to a global leader based in Berlin and collaborate daily with peers across multiple regions and disciplines.
  • You’ll take ownership of initiatives that shape our People practices and culture across global functions.
  • You’ll be part of a collaborative, feedback-driven environment that values autonomy, learning, and fun.
