Performance Engineer (C#.net + SQL), Solutions Team, Pune

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a challenging time to join the Solutions Team under Technical Customer Support as Performance Engineer (C#.net + SQL). Here at Ivalua, as a Performance Engineer you will be contributing towards the scalability and robustness of the application. You will primarily work with other teams acting as a bridge between the performance team and the project teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US

As a C#.net + SQL Engineer you will be:

• Working with databases and ensuring application systems’ stability, reliability and performance. 
• Responsibilities include implementing efficient data solutions, troubleshooting database issues.
• Big part of the responsibility is working with other teams to integrate the solutions provided by the Performance team in their projects.
• Play a technical configurator role for Solutions team.
• Actively participate in SQL driven global initiatives.
• Learn preliminary configuration of the Ivalua Buyer solution and work with the team to deliver advanced configurations and enhancements. 
• Collaborate with other teams to work collaboratively on implementing performance requirements.
• Work very closely with Solutions team to plan timelines.
• Work at a technical level with different teams to participate in deliverability of global performance initiatives.
• Participate in some technical designing, delivery scheduling, work closely with internal resources and clients.
• Collaborate with technical resources across teams to participate in deployment and support efforts.
• Develop good functional expertise in Ivalua Solution, help in documentation of best practices. 
• Collaborating with the R&D team in implementing performance optimizations in the application system.
• Carrying out extensive log analysis for finding areas of performance improvement for the application.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW

• 3+ years of experience in SQL 
• Strong proficiency with SQL (2017 and above) and its variation among popular databases
• Good knowledge of database internals – read and troubleshoot execution plans, analyze query operators, debug object locking and design efficient indexes.
• Good  knowledge of SQL Profiler and maybe other database analysis tools.
• Good knowledge of database features optimization basics like Indexes, Temp tables etc.
• Good knowledge of C# (preferred) or any object oriented knowledge with the ability to pick up new platform like .NET with C#.
• Analyze application codebase to identify problematic dynamically generated database scripts and integrate the solutions back to the codebase.
• Exposure to ETLs and reports/dashboards
• Interest in learning the technical aspect of a highly configurable application.

PREFERRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science or related or foreign degree equivalent
