Job Overview: 

The **Physical Security Operations Regional Manager for APJ will oversee the physical security programs and operations across multiple locations in the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. This role will be based in Bangalore, India, with the flexibility of being in the office 3 days a week. The position requires up to 25% international travel to ensure the effective implementation of security policies, programs, and projects, and to foster relationships with local offices, partners, and stakeholders.

This is a strategic role requiring strong leadership and a collaborative approach to managing physical security risks across a diverse and geographically dispersed region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing physical security in multinational environments and experience working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and law enforcement agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Strategy & Operations: Develop, implement, and manage physical security policies, procedures, and standards across APJ offices, ensuring alignment with global security goals.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Lead risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for all sites, identifying and addressing security risks, and implementing appropriate countermeasures.

Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with local security service providers, ensuring quality and performance in the areas of guarding, surveillance, and access control.

Emergency Response & Incident Management: Oversee emergency response protocols, crisis management, and incident investigations across the region, ensuring rapid and effective resolution.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including HR, IT, Workplace Operations, Legal, and Compliance, to implement security initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate goals.

Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with local and international security regulations and company policies, conducting regular audits and inspections of security measures and infrastructure.

Training & Development:  Provide ongoing training and development programs for security staff and employees, ensuring awareness and preparedness in emergency and security situations.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage security budgets for the region, optimizing resources and ensuring cost-effective security solutions.

Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Global Physical Security & Safety, highlighting regional security concerns, ongoing projects, and recommendations for improvement.

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in physical security operations, preferably within multinational organizations or high-tech environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in a regional or global leadership role in security management.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, incident management, and crisis response in complex environments.
  • Excellent knowledge of physical security technologies, including access control, surveillance systems, intrusion detection, and security operations centers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across cultures and regions.
  • Experience managing security vendors and service providers in multiple locations.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time and work in a hybrid environment with a presence in the office 3 days a week.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Criminal Justice, or Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) are preferred.
