Platform Operations Lead
In this role, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of Dropbox's platform, collaborating closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to shape the strategic direction and execution of platform initiatives. As the Platform Ops Lead, you will play a crucial role in driving alignment and coordination across the organization, ensuring that platform priorities are closely integrated with broader company strategies and goals.
You will be instrumental in driving the success of existing Dropbox products and future innovations such as Dash by establishing and executing key operational processes and initiatives. Known for your ability to build relationships and navigate complex environments, you excel in facilitating communication, managing relationships, and driving alignment on key initiatives and priorities.
Reporting to the Head of Product for Platform, you will represent the platform organization's interests and priorities in cross-functional meetings and discussions, advocating for resources and support as needed to achieve strategic objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for building and leveraging frameworks that streamline processes, ensuring the operational excellence and success of company-wide initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesPlatform Roadmap Management:
- Ensure that the platform roadmap is regularly updated based on company priorities, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform initiatives with broader company objectives.
Ownership of Platform Business Rhythms:
- Lead the development and maintenance of platform business rhythms, including annual planning, OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), roadmap reviews, and investment thesis.
- Coordinate with executive leadership, including the Office of CEO (OCEO), to ensure alignment of platform rhythms with overall company strategies and priorities.
- Provide relevant information and insights to board related to platform initiatives and progress.
Financial Management:
- Manage platform budget allocations, ensuring that headcount and hiring plans are in line with financial targets and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with finance teams to track and optimize platform spending, identifying opportunities for efficiency and investment.
Leadership of Special Projects:
- Lead and oversee special projects identified by the platform leadership team, driving cross-functional collaboration and delivering impactful outcomes.
- Provide strategic guidance and execution support for initiatives aimed at enhancing platform capabilities or addressing key challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement and Representation:
- Act as a key liaison between the platform team and other internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment on goals and priorities.
- Represent the platform's vision and strategic initiatives in cross-functional projects and discussions, advocating for resources and support as needed.
Success in this role is measured by:
- Effective management and evolution of the platform roadmap to support company objectives.
- Alignment and integration of platform business rhythms with broader company planning processes.
- 7+ years experience in a strategic operations or program management role, preferably within a technology or SaaS company.
- Strong understanding of OKR frameworks, annual planning processes, and strategic alignment principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - ability to clearly articulate business issues and recommend / synthesize solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Humble, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset, with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to draw insights from unorganized information and help drive process improvements accordingly
- Strategy Consulting (eg BCG, Bain, Mckinsey)
- Familiarity with Platform components, developer experience, APIs etc.
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $222,700 - $262,000 - $301,300.• US Zone 2: $200,400 - $235,800 - $271,200.• US Zone 3: $178,200 - $209,600 - $241,000. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
