The Challenge:

T2 Marketing Innovation Technology | Experimentation and Player Sciences | Junior Player Scientist

We are seeking a motivated Junior Player Scientist with a strong analytical background, specialising in statistics, data analysis, and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have some hands-on experience with Player/data science projects and a passion for applying data-driven solutions to real-world business challenges in a Marketing and gaming context. This role will involve working across multiple labels within the T2 family, providing solutions that drive player engagement and enhance the gaming experience.

You will play a key part in designing, executing, and analysing player-focused experiments that inform game development and marketing strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust experimentation frameworks, such as A/B tests and randomised control trials, to assess the impact of game in-game/out of game events, and promotional campaigns. Your insights will directly influence decisions that shape player experiences across various titles.

What You’ll Take On: Machine Learning Modelling:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where predictive models can optimise marketing strategies.
  • Assist in developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models aimed at improving marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.
Experimentation and Success Measurement:
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to design, execute, and analyse controlled experiments, including A/B tests and randomised control trials.
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns and long-term business strategies through ongoing experimentation and data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of marketing analytics platforms, such as Meta Advanced Analytics and Google Ads Data Hub, with a focus on data cleanroom measurement solutions.
Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyse experiment data to derive insights and make recommendations for game features, content updates, and marketing strategies.
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
Cross-Label Collaboration:
  • Work across multiple labels within the T2 family to share best practices and insights, driving consistent and effective experimentation approaches across all titles.
  • Support the development of a unified experimentation platform that can be leveraged by different teams within the organisation.
Tools and Technologies:
  • Proficiency in programming languages, with a preference for Python.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and experience querying data warehouses, particularly Snowflake.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus, with additional consideration given to candidates familiar with Databricks.
  • Bonus points for experience working with data cleanrooms and related privacy-enhancing technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
