Policy and Moderation Program Lead

As the Policy and Moderation Lead you will focus on developing and driving strategy for our guideline moderation and legal programs. You will be accountable for initiative success across the T&S team including operationalizing regulatory requirements, implementing changes to guideline policy, and advising on transparency reporting. You’ll need to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Data and Analytics, and others to represent the T&S perspective and influence prioritization. You’ll be responsible for leveraging data to generate insights and make recommendations.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and socialize guideline moderation and legal / regulatory operational strategy to support the broader T&S mission and long-term vision
  • Steer program direction for the content policy and moderation program
    • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects
    • Prioritize competing needs effectively
    • Apply change, risk and resource management
  • Drive projects and initiatives to completion, specifically implementation of new legal and regulatory requirements, and changes to guideline policy
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
  • Field and reply-to sensitive and/or escalated user communications
  • Collaborate with Content and Policy Moderation Product Manager, the CPM Engineering team, Policy, and Legal to represent the T&S perspective in roadmapping and prioritization
  • Drive data analysis to further program strategy and narrative
  • Facilitate the strengthening of key relationships with communities of global thought leaders to bolster approaches and solutions to trust and safety on the platform

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years in a Trust & Safety role 
  • Great instincts for how to represent Vimeo publicly
  • Strong and clear communicator (especially across team lines)
  • Organized project manager who is able to successfully influence without authority to find consensus among diverse stakeholders
  • Strong ability to prioritize incoming issues in a fast paced environment
  • Analytical ability or experience a plus

Targeted Base Salary Range:  $86,400 to $132,000

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
