We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join our workplace team to support and influence our workplace strategies and real estate projects. The Portfolio Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the leasing and transaction management process in addition to making significant contributions to crafting dynamic analytic tools to drive portfolio optimization across our global offices. 

In this role, you will be part of the team that determines and executes on Elastic’s global real estate strategy. This role will report to the Global Portfolio Manager, based in the Bay Area.

What you will do: 
  • Work closely with the workplace leadership team to support and implement workplace and business strategies for optimizing office utilization, considering space utilization, cost-efficiency, and overall company objectives.

  • Providing administrative support to the real estate team, including maintaining databases, handling purchase orders, coordinating documents, and handling lease files among other similar tasks.

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging workplace and workplace technology trends, providing input on how these developments can shape our workspace planning and design decisions.

  • Stay well-informed about industry benchmarks and standards, using this knowledge to refine and improve our portfolio strategy.

  • Assisting in financial analysis, such as crafting financial models, evaluating lease terms, and analyzing the financial implications of various lease options to be included in the creation of initial business case drafts.

  • Support throughout the lease process, including liaising with landlords, property owners, and brokers to facilitate communication and coordinate lease-related activities.

  • Support during the site selection process by compiling location analysis data such as financial impact, commute analysis, building data, and other relevant data points. 

  • Assisting in change management initiatives related to our workspace and portfolio strategy. 

What you will bring: 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in real estate portfolio analysis, workplace strategy, or comparable roles.

  • Solid grasp of workplace trends, space planning principles, and the dynamics of the real estate market.

  • Bachelor’s degree or real estate designation or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in complex, data-driven analysis, Excel or similar.

  • Agile and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an eye for detail.

  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization skills.

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.

Location Requirements:

As part of the workplace team it is essential that each of our team members have a deep understanding and connection to Elastic’s offices and employees. This is developed through in-person experience with our offices and people. This role would require 2-3 days in the office per week, and the candidate should be within a reasonable distance to one of our Elastic offices.

 

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
