Position Overview:

The Power BI Analyst will play a key role in supporting StepStone’s Portfolio Analytics and Reporting team by creating, analyzing, and maintaining Power BI / Power Pivot dashboards, data models, and ad-hoc templates. This role supports StepStone’s private markets asset class business teams and reporting initiatives that provide valuable insights to both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to continuously solve complex problems and expand their skill set.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with senior team members to develop, maintain, and continuously improve Power BI dashboards and Excel models
  • Support version control processes and adhere to analytics development best practices
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and verify information required for asset class data reporting and analytics projects
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Develop subject matter expertise in StepStone’s asset class business models, private markets industry, and emerging data analytics trends

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience working with data models and business intelligence platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects or coursework that added measurable value

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL and Power BI; experience with other data visualization tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with Power Automate is a plus
  • Understanding of data modeling, dashboard design, and BI best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to change
  • Naturally inquisitive, eager to learn new technologies and industry best practices

Salary Range - 72,000 - 76,500

The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience.  The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
