What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for supporting the paraprofessional staff in implementing the outlined policies and procedures, utilizing integrated technology, and managing the practice operational functions and embodying the Chewy culture to work collaboratively with your peers and deliver the pet parent WOW experience. 
  • Work with regional and corporate leadership to provide optimal support and continuous development for the practice team.
  • Provide staff management with a primary responsibility of overseeing their operational performance.
  • Coordinate work schedules for the team.
  • Demonstrate team support and care for others’ work experiences by conducting staff reviews, handling their concerns, and mentoring team members with their career development.
  • Lead team coordination of inventory cycle counts and fulfill inventory needs requests.
  • Engage with clients to ensure they receive the ultimate treatment and immediately resolve any conflicts or complaints.
  • Ensure the equipment and clinic are well maintained, and OSHA guidelines are followed.
  • Guide the team in following the practice’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standards of Care (SOC); review SOPs and practice metrics to help guide the team in improving their performance.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and team members.
  • Be a PIMS administrative super-user and provide assistance to others on the team in their use of the technology. 
  • Act responsibly giving the pharmacy holdings of the practice. 
  • Participation in self-development courses and Chewy Vet Care required compliance training.
  • Perform related duties and assignments as directed by management.
  • Position may require some travel.

What You’ll Need:

  • Successful completion of the CVPM program and current certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the qualifications for the CVPM designation.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Practice Manager in practice
  • Experience mentoring and leading others.
  • Strong ability to connect with clients and demonstrate empathy and compassion.
  • Ability to manage conflict resolution.
  • Excellent verbal / written communication, observational, and analytical skills
  • Thrives in a fast paced, self-starter environment.

Physical Job Requirements: 

  • Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
  • Rarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
  • Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Our salary range for a Practice Manager position is $72,500.00 - $109,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
