About the job

This position is a high-impact role, and is essential for driving Twilio's pricing strategy and operationalizing key pricing processes. Your efforts will aim to accelerate business growth while simplifying the purchasing experience for our customers.As a Pricing Manager, you will bring your expertise in pricing and packaging to help drive the success of Twilio's monetization strategy. Reporting to the Director of Pricing, you will play a crucial role in shaping pricing/ packaging strategy within the Messaging portfolio.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies, incorporating price elasticity, product strategy, competitive differentiation and financial analysis to ensure our pricing models maximize business performance. 
  • Collaborate with Product to understand the Messaging strategy and roadmap, supporting the product requirements process with competitor pricing and packaging considerations. 
  • Analyze sales, customer, product and financial data to identify opportunities, design and test those hypotheses, and scale the solutions. 
  • Drive alignment and lead the implementation of your strategies across GTM Strategy, Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance.

Required: 

  • Past experience in telecom and/or SaaS pricing strategy
  • 5+ years relevant experience, with at least 3 in pricing strategy
  • Strong record delivering complex, cross-functional projects to generate business impact
  • Ability to develop financial models to inform pricing recommendations  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence and work effectively with peers and senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience

Desired:

  • Past experience in a B2B setting 
  • Knowledge of pricing survey methodologies 

Location

This role will be remote, and based in the USA

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $112,320 - $140,400
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $118,960 - $148,700
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $132,160 - $165,200 

This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
