Are you looking to leverage your background in quantitative and qualitative analysis to craft and implement pricing models and evaluate product performance across a rich portfolio of software and Services offerings? Joining the Product Launch team at Appian as a Pricing & Product Analytics Manager means you will have the opportunity to learn in an environment that values cross-functional collaboration and is committed to personal and professional growth. It means coming up with creative ways to implement streamlined and consistent pricing strategies and product analyses and then establishing controls and performance metrics to measure execution. In this role, you'll drive revenue growth and profitability by leading strategic pricing initiatives and conducting thorough product analysis. Your responsibilities will include evaluating market dynamics, competitive pricing, and customer behavior to develop pricing models and product strategies aligned with company objectives. You'll also analyze and report on product performance metrics, such as adoption rates, future development priorities, and commercialization strategies for new offerings. Additionally, you'll assess Appian's pricing and packaging performance, including adoption levels, policy compliance, exception requests, and discounting trends. Finally, you'll oversee the implementation of new pricing across enterprise systems and processes to ensure seamless execution.

To be successful in this role, you need to:

  • Understand quantitative and qualitative approaches to pricing and packaging, commercialization analysis, and performance metrics/ KPIs. 
  • Combine creative thinking and analytics to develop a deep understanding of Appian’s commercial models.
  • Have solid organizational skills, be structured in your thought processes, and meticulous in your execution.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to draw clarity out of complex and nuanced commercial scenarios.
  • Have deep experience with analytics tools, reporting, and data visualization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Economics, or another relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of operational experience such as pricing management, sales operations, or FP&A
  • Advanced skills with productivity software, price modeling, and BI/ analytics tools
  • Proven ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative methods to form data-backed conclusions
