This is an opportunity to be a part of a high-energy sales organization focused on breaking and accelerating revenue across key categories. You must be entrepreneurially minded with a hunger to break into new business and uncover new areas of opportunity, while maintaining existing relationships with key partners. As a part of this team, your main responsibility will be to drive partner investments by providing well-considered solutions that help them build their brands and align with their KPIs. You will use your industry knowledge to work with new partners and build trust based on a combination of data-driven strategies, high-value 1st party audiences, bold creative ideas, and a deep portfolio of modern solutions. This role requires persistent and persuasive communication with clients. You will need a deep understanding of the digital advertising landscape, have experience with programmatic, custom content solutions, and proven outstanding sales skills. You feel comfortable working independently, while also forging internal relationships to collaborate cross-functionally to close deals. The successful candidate must be creative, resourceful, persuasive, and highly organized with strong management skills and enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for revenue goals, building, developing, and servicing new business
  • Develop relationships at all levels within both agency and client organizations
  • Prospect strategically to identify & qualify categories and accounts that are not currently investing with Tripadvisor
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of Tripadvisor’s product suites
  • Have a focused sales strategy and feel comfortable handling high RFP volume
  • Consistently bring client partners proactive solutions to help them meet their business challenges
  • Work closely with internal teams including research, commercial operations, commercial development, audience development, and our in-house brand and content studio, Wanderlab, to ensure we deliver world class service to partners
  • Manage a sales pipeline with timely and accurate forecasting
  • Consistently communicate market feedback to be a strategic partner internally, helping to develop strategic advertising solutions
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales targets

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Consultative seller with 5+ years of experience and responsibility for an annual quota of at least $3-5 million
  • Experience selling digital advertising including content and social with CTV experience a plus
  • Recent and successful track record of sales (to the travel industry and, in particular, hotels, OTAs and TTOOs is a great plus) 
  • Successful and energetic online, written and verbal communications skills across mediums: video calls, phone, in groups, and through in-person client meetings
  • Experience bundling different types of advertising solutions (e.g. CPM media, sponsorships, programmatic, experiential, etc.) 
  • Ability to think creatively and sell strategically 
  • Track record of developing long-term relationships with (and commitments from) clients and agencies 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Operate as CEO of your business with an understanding of client goals, challenges, stakeholders (influencers and champions), competitors and the ideal solutions  Tripadvisor has to solve for their business goals
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Experienced business judgment: Must be positive, persistent and professional 
  • Expertise in leveraging internal and external resources to solve for client needs
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience preferred
  • Successful candidate must enjoy problem-solving and be unafraid of technical solutions
  • Heavy use of data and customer insights critical to success
  • Teamwork skills essential
  • Excellent presentation skills and effectively able to communicate to C-Suite & GM level
  • Position requires overnight travel approx. 20% 
  • European languages considered a plus
