The Challenge

As a Principal Content Strategist, you will lead the creation and management of our content standards, ensuring consistency and quality of our in-product content. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, maintain, and evolve product content. You will create and deliver in-product content solutions that guide users through end-to-end, lovable experiences.

Your Mission
  • Build customer and stakeholder relationships to help understand perspectives, behaviors, and goals for our customers and business.
  • Develop and maintain content standards, including content themes, reusable action-based copy, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Evangelize the adoption of content standards across the organization, driving a culture of consistency and collaboration.
  • Continuously assess and iterate on content standards to stay current with industry trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes to ensure content standards are followed consistently and effectively throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement measurement strategies to track the impact and success of content strategies.
  • Create and edit copy that is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with evolving InfoSec and privacy practices and branding expectations.
  • Become a subject matter expert in assigned areas so that you can write product copy that aligns with our users' goals and be the authority for how we should converse with customers for the UX and product teams.
  • Research industry trends, target audience, and competitors to inform product messaging.
  • Optimize content strategies by participating in continuous reviews and audits of the effectiveness of content inside product workflows, including recommendations for new and existing documentation that support the customer journey.
  • Advocate and evangelize content strategy and best practices across stakeholder touchpoints.
  • Meet with your content team to discuss and collaborate on content projects, templates, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with UX Designers and Product Managers to ensure accurate content themes across the product, helping our customers seamlessly move between clouds and modules.
You Are
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in content strategy and creation.
  • You have experience standardizing and defining content themes across
  • You enjoy finding opportunities to help guide customers, so they don’t get stuck.
  • You have experience collaborating with a design team to solve problems.
  • You have experience researching domains and collaborating with a design team.
  • You are driven by understanding user behavior.
  • You have experience designing content strategies that account for organizations of different sizes, goals and maturity levels and can tailor content strategies.
  • You know how to analyze various stakeholder, customer, and team inputs to lead the copy conversation and provide recommendations with authority.
  • You are resilient. You can manage multiple input points, meet varying deadlines, be realistic about project releases, and know where to put your efforts.
  • You have a portfolio of UX writing to share.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.
  • Experience working in the InfoSec or privacy industry would be an asset.
  • Experience delivering content for a global audience would be an asset.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience, with a focus on team development and growth.

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.

Salary Range$109,500—$164,250 USDBenefits
