About the role:

We are looking for a leader with experience in India’s technology and start-up sector to deepen and accelerate MongoDB’s engagement with the local start-up ecosystem, to drive adoption of MongoDB technologies and commercial offerings, and to enable faster innovation, time to market and developer productivity for the participating start-up’s.

In this role, you will be responsible for deepening MongoDB’s engagement with startups, founders and investors in India, in close alignment and collaboration with the global MongoDB for Startups program, and through relationships with VCs, startup accelerators and incubators which you will develop and own. MongoDB Atlas is a featured benefit in the start-up programs of AWS, Microsoft and Google, and you are responsible for creating and driving a region specific strategy (integrating business development, technical developer relations, sales and marketing) that drives customer product adoption of the local start-up ecosystem with these MongoDB partners.

You have a proven track record with building and nurturing relationships with technology companies, founders and investors, a hands-on approach to developing and executing programs, technical acumen, and work cross functionally in a fast paced work environment.

 

What you will be doing:
  • Strategy - Identify and prioritize opportunities for start-up engagement in India. 
  • Programs - Create, implement and drive effective programs in the local market, building on the global program and partnerships, and local presence of MongoDB in India. 
  • Partner Management: Build and drive all aspects of partnership with the key constituents of India’s start-up ecosystem.
  • Marketing - Collaborate with the global and local marketing teams on awareness, acquisition, enablement and nurture programs targeting early-stage companies.
  • Evangelism - Drive local engagement of technical roles in early-stage companies on the value, differentiation and best practices with building solutions with MongoDB, in close collaboration with other teams in MongoDB and its partners.  
  • Orchestrate cross-functional resources internally and externally to deliver impact

 

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, resourceful, upbeat, entrepreneurial, tenacious team player
  • Experience with programs targeting early-stage companies, investors and partnerships.
  • 5-10 years of experience with business development, and the creation and execution of programs. 
  • Understanding & knowledge of the data platform market, its trends, and key concerns for early-stage digital-native companies. 
  • Proven experience developing successful and scalable partnership programs
  • Proven ability to open doors, network and forge relationships 
  • Prior experience selling with and to technology companies 
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of open source software, enterprise software apps, SaaS, Database or Cloud Computing
  • Consistent goal achievement in a highly competitive environment 
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology through presentation, verbal and written communication  
  • Proven ability to structure proposals and build joint business plans  
  • Strong program and project management skills, ability to direct cross-functional processes and teams with timely deliverables  
  • College degree in business, economics, engineering, finance, science, math or similar 
  • Possess aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility. High EQ and self-aware
  • The ability to work in fast paced environment, be trusted to drive initiatives autonomously and gain buy in from a wide collection of stakeholders
  • Passionate about growing your career in the largest market in software and developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of MongoDB products
