As a Principal Platform Engineer, you will shape and drive the technical vision for the internal developer platform, establishing architectural standards and best practices that promote engineering excellence. You will serve as the key technical authority, making critical architectural decisions and guiding teams in implementing robust platform solutions while fostering innovation and adoption of platform-as-product principles. Through your deep technical expertise and leadership, you will influence platform engineering practices across the organization, mentor other engineers, and ensure the platform evolves to meet complex enterprise needs while maintaining high standards of reliability, security, and scalability. This includes:

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: Drive platform architecture and technical strategy for cloud platform services while defining engineering standards and best practices. Lead technical design for complex initiatives and provide mentorship to the team. You'll guide architectural decision-making processes that shape our platform's future
• Platform Development & Innovation: Design scalable cloud platform services following a "thinnest viable platform" approach. Architect intuitive self-service developer experiences and lead platform automation implementation. You'll evaluate emerging technologies, drive technical innovation, and define the platform's evolution roadmap while leading proof-of-concept initiatives
• Cross-Team Technical Guidance: Partner closely with SRE teams on reliability initiatives and Security teams on platform security design. Guide Platform Engineering teams on technical implementation while influencing broader engineering teams on cloud platform adoption. You'll drive technical alignment across the organization to ensure cohesive platform development

• You're a platform engineering expert. Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms and platform-as-a-product principles is essential. Your experience with service mesh technologies (Cilium, Istio), API management solutions (Kong, Mulesoft), and FinOps practices enables you to optimize developer experiences and platform efficiency
• You master cloud infrastructure. Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack) combined with strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS and Serverless architectures forms your foundation. Your advanced proficiency in automation languages (Golang, Python, Bash) and expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools helps you build robust, maintainable systems
• You're a CI/CD and networking specialist. Expert knowledge in troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and deployment strategies ensures smooth delivery pipelines. Your deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, BGP, cloud networking architectures, and network automation enables you to design reliable, scalable network solutions
• You're strong in security and architecture. Expert knowledge of cloud security architecture, certificate management, and security automation keeps our platform secure. Your experience designing large-scale platforms, understanding of distributed systems, and knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures helps create robust solutions
• You're a seasoned technical leader. With 12+ years in platform engineering or related fields, you bring proven experience in platform architecture and technical leadership. Your track record of building developer platforms and driving innovation demonstrates your ability to deliver impactful solutions. Your skills in technical vision, architectural decision-making, and stakeholder management help align teams toward common goals
