Role Description

Join the Dash Intelligence Team at Dropbox, where innovation and impact intersect. We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to spearhead our foundations team, Dash Intelligence, as an Individual Contributor (IC) PM. Dash is a 0-1 AI powered initiative within Dropbox aimed at allowing users to search and organize across all your tools, apps, and content.

The Dash Intelligence team is a horizontal team responsible for data acquisition, knowledge graph, search platform, and foundational capabilities, enabling partner teams to deliver various Dash features, products, user experiences. As a Principal PM on the Dash Intelligence team, you'll have the rare opportunity to shape the future of Dropbox from the ground up. This is a highly cross team and cross functional role and you'll be responsible for driving the direction, roadmap and major initiatives for the team, working closely with the PMs & other XFN partners in the larger Dash organization . Your work will directly contribute to making our users' lives more organized and their work more productive.

Responsibilities
  • You will develop and maintain the strategic vision for Dash Intelligence, ensuring it aligns with the overall Dash product roadmap and objectives.
  • Work closely with Dash PMs to understand the needs and priorities for Dash, ensuring the platform evolves in a way that supports these requirements.
  • Prioritize development initiatives for the platform infrastructure inclusive of data acquisition, knowledge graph, search platform, balancing immediate product needs with long-term strategic needs.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and impact of the data and platform infrastructure.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with data and platform infrastructure development, including technical and security risks.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with experience in developing successful search products or similar technologies that require deep technical expertise.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with proven results, demonstrating your ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You have a history of setting ambitious goals and achieving them by creating scalable and extensible solutions. 
  • Exceptional product intuition and craftsmanship, with a keen balance of user needs, business objectives, and both immediate and long-term impacts.
  • Build alignment and listen well, but can also drive hard decisions, framing the different options and tradeoffs. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, influence others, and employ excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Total Rewards

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $255,000 - $300,000 - $345,000.• US Zone 2: $229,500 - $270,000 - $310,500.• US Zone 3: $204,000 - $240,000 - $276,000. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:• US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro• US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro), Washington DC metro and West Virginia (DC metro)• US Zone 3: All other US locations
