The Challenge 

We’re looking for a principal-level Software Quality Automation (QA) Engineer to support our product development teams. QA Automation Engineers are critical in speeding up product delivery to market, up to multiple deployments a week. QA Automation engineers increase the teams’ ability to measure stability in integrated environments.  

Your Mission 

The SDET is responsible for adding, maintaining, and updating scripts in existing automation suite, helping out with running the suite across various checkpoints in the release cycle 

As a Principal SDET, you will: 

    • Increase pass percentage – 95% or higher, by maintaining the tenant data, indexes, cleanup jobs 
    • 100% automated deployment validation 
    • Support changing DevOps pipeline by validation of every new technology component 
    • Add, maintain, and update scripts in existing automation suite, helping out with running the suite across various checkpoints in the release cycle  
    • Participate in various POCs in order to keep the automation framework and technology relevant and current to product offerings  
    • Conduct peer reviews of test code and automation frameworks 
    • Support and mentor existing automation engineers/SDETs whenever needed

You Are 

You are someone who can efficiently get to the bottom of an automated failure (in an integrated environment) and alert the right team. You are consistently willing to pitch in to support a long running deployment, even after hours. You are willing to learn and pick up new skillsets to support ever-changing technology. You are able to understand VM characteristics and can monitor load on machine. You are organized with attention to detail.  

Your Experience Includes 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical or business field  
  • 8+ years of relevant experience working as a developer, automation engineer or SDET  
  • 8+ years of experience coding in Java and must have strong practical knowledge of OOPs and Core Java principles.  
  • 4+ years of experience with Selenium for automating UI of the application  
  • 4+ years of experience with REST Assured or similar tools for automating APIs  
  • 4+ years of experience working in automated test and continuous deployment environments  
  • 4+ years of experience with tools such as Bitbucket, Git, Stash, Confluence, JIRA  
  • 4+ years of experience troubleshooting logs using tools like Kibana  
  • 3+ years of experience with applications deployed on cloud  
  • 3+ years of experience in testing mobile applications  
  • 3+ years of experience working with offshore teams including different geos  
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud-based testing platforms such as Sauce Labs, BrowserStack
