Elastic is seeking a Value Engineer to support our Strategic Financial Services vertical across the New York metro area.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with account teams to identify a value delivery strategy for key accounts
  • Engage with Financial Services clients to identify, understand, and quantify their unique challenges and potential benefits, aligned against their strategic initiatives. Define and communicate the Elastic value proposition in alignment with Financial Services customer objectives.
  • Lead business value reviews / business cases: Effectively communicate the realized value and potential economic benefits of new opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of customer workflows and processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency.
  • Create and deliver boardroom-quality, executive documents
  • Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of Financial Services clients.
  • Provide guidance on best practices and innovative approaches to maximize the value of Elastic solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our solutions with our Financial Services clients, remaining informed about industry trends and advancements.
  • Conduct training and workshops with Elastic teammates to increase the quality of their discovery and their understanding of business value & customer excellence.
  • Help build the future of the value engineering practice at Elastic: contribute to the development of best practices and tools for an enhanced value based selling adoption. 

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in value engineering, solution architecture, or a related customer-facing role within the software industry.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in value-based-selling methodologies.
  • Located in the NYC market with the ability to be in-office with our FSI account teams and leaders 3-days per week
  • In-depth knowledge and relationships within the Financial Services industry and technology landscape.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and briefing business cases to Financial Service executives.
  • Expertise in identifying and prioritizing use cases, implementing improvement measures and becoming a change agent for Elastic customers by establishing a value delivery model.
  • Ability to project manage across multiple work streams, including defining scope, expectations, timelines and delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to act decisively with ambiguous guidance and circumstances
  • Willing to travel to meet clients outside of the NYC market.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
