THE ROLE

As a Principal Recruiter  for GTM, you will oversee high-impact searches and drive strategic hiring initiatives across APJ. You will act as a talent consultant to executive leadership, shaping workforce planning and talent strategy with data and insights. This role requires managing executive-level relationships, influencing long-term hiring strategies, and driving operational excellence for complex business-critical roles.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and deliver on the most complex, business-critical GTM searches across APJ.
  • Partner with Sales leadership (Enterprise, SMB, Channel, and Pre-Sales) to understand hiring needs and workforce plans.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and engage top-performing sales professionals in Japan.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-caliber sales candidates for future needs.
  • Drive market mapping of sales talent in Japan, including competitors and industry-specific candidate pools.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: role scoping, job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and closing.
  • Design and oversee multi-year recruiting strategies for GTM expansion in APJ.
  • Leverage channels such as LinkedIn Recruiter, BizReach, and referrals for proactive sourcing.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HRBPs on headcount planning, budgeting, and resource alignment.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for APJ GTM executives on all talent matters.
  • Build strong external networks to strengthen talent pipelines and employer brand in APJ markets.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 12+ years of recruiting experience in APJ, focused specially in Japan, with a strong focus on hiring for sales, pre-sales, and go-to-market roles.
  • Strong network and knowledge of the Japan sales talent landscape..
  • Track record of hiring quota-carrying sales talent (enterprise, field, inside sales).
  • Fluency in Japanese (native/near-native) and English (business proficiency) is   required.
  • Strong stakeholder management, with experience working directly with business leaders.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to consult, challenge, and influence senior leadership.
  •  Excellent sourcing skills, with proven ability to attract passive candidate
  • Track record of solving systemic recruiting challenges (e.g., employer branding, location strategy).
  • Expertise in workforce planning, recruitment analytics, and talent intelligence.
