Our Opportunity:

Chewy is currently recruiting a Procurement Analyst to join our Indirect Procurement team based in Plantation, FL.  Chewy is one of the fastest growing e-commerce enterprises around and is rapidly disrupting the traditional pet specialty channels. We are centered on our three company values: (1) Wow the Customer, (2) Keep it Simple, and (3) Grow.  You will lead and/or support sourcing activities with a focus on Technology procurement and negotiate contracts with an emphasis on commercial terms.  You will interact daily with cross-functional team members including business owners, finance, legal and accounting.  In addition to sourcing, you will be responsible for other related procurement activities.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and/or support sourcing of small – medium size purchases of goods and services (<100K).
  • Analyze spend, conduct benchmarking, and evaluate potential vendors and current suppliers.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts.
  • Set negotiation strategies.
  • Advise/apprise internal stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle.
  • Process purchasing requisitions and create the corresponding purchase orders.
  • Work with Accounts Payable as needed to reconcile invoice discrepancies.
  • Manage supplier catalogs (as applicable), and other procurement activities such as sourcing, reporting, supplier set-up and PCard management.

 

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 2 years procurement experience (tech preferred) and knowledge of procurement methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • BA/BS in business, supply chain, procurement or finance.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills with expertise in negotiating technology deals (software, hardware, SaaS, etc…).
  • Possess a strong analytical background and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills to be able to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and able to think clearly under pressure.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to travel (minimal).
