Your mission

As Procurement Manager (all genders) you are responsible to follow-up and supervise Rivada's Subcontractors to ensure that the procurement of the different Segments' elements will result in a timely delivery of the program. In doing so, you ensure a proper contract is in place, and supervise the subcontractors’ activities with major focus on progress, schedule and risks, to avoid cost overrun and ensure adequate and compatible processes and interfaces.   This includes:

  • Ensure compliance of all procurement activities assigned to you with the Rivada company rules, regulations, policies, and strategies
  • Lead RFI/RFP campaigns, including proposal evaluation, supplier iterations and supplier selection, in-line with the Procurement processes and documents
  • Liaise with the Rivada's Legal teams to establish contractual agreements
  • Oversee and coordinate all stages of procurements, establishing and follow-up guidelines which apply the relevant best practices throughout all phases of the procurement process until delivery
  • Supervise the performance of the industrial contracts, esp. as it concerns cost and schedule adherence, including support to the processing and negotiation of relevant contract changes
  • Deal with the administrative, contractual, and industrial issues arising, incl. the consequences of technical problems
  • Evaluate respective commercial implications for each issue and early appropriate escalation in a timely manner
  • Prepare and actively support in (technical) change management
  • Report on payments status, including potential changes
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Rivada Segments' and System Engineering teams, Project Management Office and Project Control
  • Participate in external and internal management meetings, as required

What you bring on the table

  • You have a successfully completed university degree in a related field (i.e. Electrical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering)
  • You have demonstrated experience of at least 8+ years in the procurement or development of space-based operational systems which shall include a minimum of 5+ years in a key managerial or system level position, preferably acting as procurement manager
  • You have several years of expert experience in the procurement or management of subsystems or complex services, and in the negotiation and technical management of contracts, preferably of complex high technology systems in the frame of international or governmental public procurement 
  • You understand and respond to complex situations by systematically and rigorously analyzing issues
  • You can establish plans and define priorities and carry them out efficiently and effectively
  • You have strong skills in persuading, negotiating effectively and resolving conflicts
  • You have experience to work in an environment that includes shifting priorities or introduction of new approaches
  • You understand the importance of mission requirements, the coordination with colleagues from other Rivada SN divisions and with partners
  • You have strong analytical and excellent organizational skills
  • You have excellent communications and inter-personal skills (written and verbal)
  • You have demonstrated leadership and managerial skills
  • You are fluent in English, other languages (particularly German) are considered as an asset
  • You have proven professional experience in a multi-lingual and international environment;              willing to travel
