We are seeking a Product Designer in Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA offices, to bring customer journeys to life on the Chewy storefront. In this role, you will translate customer needs, merchandising strategy, and business objectives into scalable, mobile-first designs. You will play a meaningful role in defining the structure, layout, and content delivery across key areas of the customer journey, including homepage, category pages, and campaign experiences. You will sit alongside a team of Product Designers, working with partner teams to build compelling visual designs and presentation materials to support the development of content strategy and campaigns in the e-commerce funnel.

What You’ll Do 

  • Transform site merchandising strategy into compelling shopping experiences for Chewy’s mobile app and site that have purpose, simplicity, and express the Chewy brand.
  • Develop multiple solutions for a specific challenge with a bias for action and crisp prioritization.
  • Develop and execute page layouts and templates for a range of devices that can be delivered to market quickly.
  • Lead your work from end to end: Discovery and concept brainstorming, flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototype designs.
  • Collaborate with merchandisers, marketing and creative teams, user researchers, and product managers.
  • Participate in product design team critiques and team activities to grow design skills and knowledge of Chewy customers. 
  • Champion cohesion and consistency across the experience, contributing directly to a growing design system to support evolving content needs.
  • Present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to partners, including senior Team Members. 
  • Nurture Chewy’s culture and principles within your team and the design practice.  

Basic Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
  • 1+ years of experience leading design for an initiative with system- or enterprise-wide impact.
  • Experience delivering high-quality digital products that delivered results and demonstrate the depth of your design skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies.
  • Proven experience clearly communicating design decisions and their impact on the customer.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent degree) in Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience within the design field.
  • Position may require travel and will require time in the local office.
  • Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Suite 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with using content management systems to manage digital content
  • Ability to flex into other creative and design disciplines, including visual design and content strategy
  • Experience creating design system components or templates to streamline process with cross-functional partners 

Hub Locations & Work Arrangement:

  • Hybrid Model: 3 days in hub location per week
  • Remote: This role is NOT a remote role.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.   We offer different types of insurance, such as medical/Rx, vision, dental, life, disability, hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations. Base Salary Range$129,500—$207,000 USD
