The Opportunity:

As our Technical Product Manager, Cloud Infrastructure, you will drive the vision and strategy for the provisioning and maintenance of commercetools cloud infrastructure. *Please note that for this role we can only consider candidates based within a commutable distance of one of the following offices: Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Munich, or Valencia. 

Your Mission:

  • Research and innovate in the area of automation of infrastructure deployment using infrastructure as code
  • Take ownership as a team for successful delivery and roll-out of services owned by the Spacelift team which involves project management for the transformation towards full automation as part of product management
  • Collaborate closely with your cross-functional team to identify opportunities, discover effective solutions, and deliver them to the teams within Composable Commerce product domains
  • Contribute to the product vision and strategy in collaboration with product leadership and define the roadmap for your team
  • Become a commercetools product expert and develop a deep understanding of our customers, users, and the underlying infrastructure of our multi-cloud services
  • Be a part of the commercetools product management team and coordinate your work with product managers from other teams

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience working as a technical product manager, technical lead, senior engineer, or similar role(s)
  • Experience in Infrastructure-as-a-Service use cases for SaaS products, implementation approaches, and ideas for how to evolve those in the future
  • General understanding of cloud infrastructure and scalability challenges
  • Experience working in an agile environment and collaborative decision-making
  • Experience working with technical teams on an API-first product
  • Empathy in communicating with customers, users, team members, and a knack for finding the right level of technical detail when talking to customers and colleagues
  • Excellent English communication skills

 

Nice to have:

  •  Experience with Vault for Enterprise
