We are looking for a Product Manager intern to join our Product Management team, focusing on our Threat Intelligence Data Platform. 

The Product Management team at Cloudflare sits at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. We have ultimate responsibility for understanding our client needs, influencing business strategy, feature specification, and working with engineering to develop our software. Cloudflare customers range from individual consumers to large multinational corporations and they use a wide range of products that help them make their sites and apps faster and more secure. 

About the internship program

Interns at Cloudflare get to explore and work with some of the newest and most innovative advances in security, networking and performance. You will work closely with Software Engineers and designers to discover, invent, and build at the largest scale. You will be exploring challenges in data mining, machine learning,  privacy and security, networking, storage, data management, and much more. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to take ownership of one or multiple features or products. 

PMs at Cloudflare are very technical. You will need a background in engineering, computer science, mathematics or statistics and are looking to explore a role that is very customer and business focused. You enjoy wearing multiple hats and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

Aside from working on impactful projects, you will network and meet with our executives including our co-founders. All interns are paired with a mentor on the team to ramp up quickly and also with a buddy to connect with other folks across the company. Interns will present on their project to the company at the end of the summer.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant field to the role.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and drive to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to drive and implement ideas in a changing environment.
  • Analytical skills, and ability to solve highly strategic and difficult business problems
  • Exceptional people skills and empathy.
  • Interest and understanding of technical subjects and the internet.
  • Ability to commit to a 12 week (summer) internship.
