About the job

This position is needed to craft and deliver the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Twilio’s Messaging Messaging Routing Platform.

Situated within the Communications business unit, our Messaging Routing Platform team is at the forefront of global SMS Routing, managing billions of SMS transactions monthly for hundreds of thousands of customers. This team thrives on continuous innovation, constantly evolving the platform to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency for our diverse customer base.

We are actively seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join Twilio's innovative Messaging Routing Platform team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in crafting and delivering the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Twilio's Messaging Routing products. You will dive deep into the needs of both internal and external customers for global messaging and drive the development of features and products that address these needs on a global scale. You will work side by side with fellow product managers and engineering counterparts, to bring the vision to life.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Act as a leader, setting direction for your product, its customers and business outcomes
  • Shape the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and release cadence for Twilio’s Messaging platform
  • Get your hands dirty, align executives, convince peers, and coordinate dependencies to get-it-done.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery on new features and products to improve and expand the capabilities of the Messaging Routing Platform
  • Perform product analysis to derive insights that drive informed decision-making to prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact and strategic goals
  • Take ownership of the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall Twilio Product strategy
  • Develop a clear point of view, engage stakeholders across the business to secure buy-in, coordinate dependencies and drive alignment on product strategy
  • Prioritize across customers and stakeholders to develop a roadmap and communicate priorities both to engineering teams and customers.
  • Take large, ill defined, and complex ideas and compose clearly articulated requirements, plans and roadmaps and work with teams to deliver them on time.

Required:

  • 2+ years experience in a Product Management role in a software company.
  • Excellent communication skills. You are happy to talk to customers and partners, and enjoy evangelizing your product and vision. 
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
  • The ability to solicit customer requirements from many - often competing - sources, prioritize, and work with engineering and design to deliver.
  • Strong Analytical skills, with the ability to derive insights from data to make data driven decisions and quantify ROI
  • Experience working with engineering teams to deliver software using Agile methodologies and lead solution design with engineering partners.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and UI/UX design understanding. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

Desired:

  • Experience of working with platform focused products or internal platform services
  • Experience of systems, architecture and APIs - including customer facing API based products - and working with architects to define them
  • Familiarity with messaging and communication technologies
  • Ability to independently test hypotheses and quantify expected impact by querying internal data sets.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g. SQL, Looker, Tableau)
Location

 This role will be remote Estonia with an option to be located in our Tallinn, Estonia office.

Travel
