Suppliers are crucial partners in enabling Wayfair’s mission. Within Global Supplier Technology (GST), the Supplier Advertising team, owns the strategy, design, engineering, go to market, and analytics of Wayfair’s Supplier Advertising offerings, a key part of Wayfair’s growth trajectory.

At Wayfair, Advertising empowers suppliers to boost visibility of their products and brands on our platform. One of the biggest growth drivers for advertising will be enabling tens of thousands of suppliers to set up and run effective ad campaigns regardless of their prior advertising know-how. The Supplier Advertising Platform Capabilities team is responsible for the services that will help our ad marketplace scale with that growth.

As the Product Manager in this space, you will be responsible for the tooling, clients, and systems that power our high-volume, low-latency advertising auctions and machine learning models. That includes candidate generation, spend pacing and targeting controls, and auction health measurement to provide insights to internal users and advertisers on how to make their campaigns more effective.

What You'll Do:

  • Define product requirements in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-department teams, including the advertiser experience, ad serving, and yield optimization teams.
  • Advocate for advertiser needs and equip leaders across business and technology with the necessary tools and visibility to grow the advertising business.
  • Partner with engineering, partner product teams, data science / machine learning, economics, analytics, and others to identify platform needs and pain points to inform the vision and roadmap for ad platforms.
  • Partner with the engineering team to drive timely and smooth execution by performing sprint rituals like grooming, planning and retrospective.
  • Drive go to market for your products in partnership with internal or external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain product roadmap along with constantly monitoring the success and measuring the impact of your products/features.
  • Influence the evolution of Wayfair's strategy for advertising offerings.
What You'll Need:
  • 3-5 years building software products or infrastructure at scale with measurable impact and ideally across multiple platforms or workstreams.
  • Experience with advertising is preferred.
  • Track record of effectively partnering with engineering and data science to build high-impact, technical products with an ability to understand and push on system architecture to improve the product.
  • A high degree of technical fluency, with familiarity building technical platforms operating at scale in large engineering organizations using modern software development tools (orchestration engines, top-tier programming languages, SQL vs. NoSQL databases, API technologies, event-streaming, etc.)
  • Ability to keep up in highly technical conversations, with experience leading technical products and ability to think and act both tactically and strategically, with experience leading cross-team initiatives.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a strong ability to conduct rigorous customer (internal or external) interviews and convey the "why" behind technical decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to dive deep into data and produce actionable insights.
  • Ability to work with and influence partner teams (Senior Manager +) across various functional areas.
