The Product Manager is responsible for the development, launch, and continuous growth of physical products for HelloFresh. The Product Manager will be part of a team focused on innovation, optimization, and testing to drive the customer experience and commercial performance of physical products in Canada. This team drives the monetization and retention of the team’s portfolio. This person will drive key decisions around product strategy, pricing, promotions, and positioning for a portfolio within this team.

You will rely on your ability to be highly collaborative and cross-functional, working throughout the business with global teams (e.g. international product) and local teams (culinary, procurement, tech, production, marketing) in order to get the work done. Ultimately, you will be the voice of our home cook community in the organization.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for

  • Develop and execute on compelling annual roadmaps, gaining local and global buy-in
  • Manage financials for dual-brand (HelloFresh and Chefs Plate) innovation portfolio through profit & loss (P&L) statements
  • Lead and manage each roadmap initiative through the full product lifecycle for new and renewed in-menu products, collaborating with various teams locally and globally 
  • Track and report performance of the product portfolio against targets on a weekly basis, and in quarterly budget reviews with Senior Leadership 
  • Work with local teams to generate action plans that close performance gaps; share ideas with counterparts in international markets
  • Work with Tech, Data & Research teams to continuously improve the product strategy through A/B testing, performance insights, customer feedback, and competitor analysis, along with the effects of price changes, promotions and marketing activities
  • Identify and implement continuous post-launch incremental improvement of insights, processes, approaches, and products to ensure HelloFresh and Chefs Plate remain leaders and shapers of the Canadian Meal Kit market
  • Work with local Marketing team to build a discounting and promotional plan
  • Conduct your own research and/or work with our US Customer Insights Team to drive new innovation onto the menu as well as continuously iterate on existing concepts 
  • All other duties, as assigned

Sound a-peeling? Here's what we're looking for

  • 5+ years experience within either a commercial FMCG role (such as brand / category management), an e-commerce environment, or similar 
  • Experience in launching products, being responsible for financials such as profit and loss (P&L) statements and tracking performance vs roadmap
  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward at the same time
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to drive through product initiatives in a complex structure with global stakeholders
  • Experience with A/B testing, statistical analysis, consumer research and the ability to present data-driven business cases to Senior Leadership
  • A customer-centric mindset, including the ability to use data to identify unmet customer needs and pain points to develop creative solutions
  • Excited and able to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with limited direction
