Role Description

As a Product Marketing intern focused on Market & Competitive Intelligence (MCI), you will support key MCI programs for Dropbox products. With millions of users across the globe, Dropbox has an incredibly diverse customer base and sits in a category that supports everyone from entrepreneurs to enterprise businesses. We are constantly looking for ways to better understand customer needs and how best to stand out to those who need our tools the most.

This is an exciting opportunity to assist a senior team member and gain hands-on experience in developing market & competitive insights, to differentiate Dropbox against our competitors, guide decision making, and contribute to Product Market Management (PMM) areas including positioning & messaging, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, product roadmap and sales enablement. You will get exposure to a broad group of teams and work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Strategy & Operations.

Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Intelligence Support:

  • Assist the Senior Market & Competitive Intelligence (MCI) Manager in collecting and analyzing data related to competitors' strategies, products, and market positioning
  • Contribute to the synthesis of competitor movements into CI newsletters, alerts, and executive reports
  • Conduct in-depth technical research on tier 1 competitors using various methodologies

Strategic Contribution:

  • Aid in building and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of Dropbox's market and competitive landscape, including trends and Dropbox’s strengths/weaknesses
  • Provide insights to influence positioning, messaging, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, product roadmap, and special projects

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, sales, revenue enablement, and leadership, to effectively gather and communicate Market & Competitive Intelligence findings
  • Support continued effort to formalize and standardize insight sharing across the organization

Battlecard & Competitive Asset Development:

  • Support the creation and updating of competitive battlecards and associated messaging for sales and campaign content
  • Assist in building competitive collateral that simplifies technical and product details for easy consumption by non-technical audiences

Sales Cycle Support & Enablement:

  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to gather and analyze competitive data at various stages of the sales cycle
  • Contribute to sales enablement initiatives for all field-facing teams within Dropbox
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics or other related field graduating in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
  • Demonstrates a strong growth and analytical mindset to deliver research and recommendations on various MCI initiatives (both strategic and responsive to real-time events)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate impact and work cross-functionally across multiple internal teams
  • Self-starter, with a passion for research and analysis, and compiling insights into a compelling point of view for company stakeholders
  • Collaborative and agile mindset to manage multiple projects with team members across the company
  • Deep Interest in the tech industry, including market trends, innovation, and key competitors in the space
  Total Rewards US: The expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) rate for the role is $5,000/month, subject to change.
