We are now looking for a Senior/Junior/Blank Business Analyst to join our team and work on a very high-profile project to completely transform how a US Government Entity engages with the capital markets. Legacy systems are ~25 years old and need to be updated for efficiency, consistent user experience, and modern I/O methods such as FIX APIs. We already have a substantial team but need A Business Analyst with Technical skills to help us define future workflows. 

YOU ARE: 

  • A strong Business Analyst with technical skills and Capital Markets domain knowledge

YOU HAVE: 

  • Experience analyzing legacy workflows - and the crucial ability to identify redundant or wasteful steps in the workflow
  • Business User stakeholder relationship management experience;
  • Experience delivering in an agile environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Some experience with QA/Business Acceptance Testing;
  • Some experience working with UX designers;
  • Some knowledge of client onboarding, client tiering, KYC

YOU WILL MANAGE THE PROJECT BACKLOG: 

  • Help stakeholders in making their vision for the product materialize, especially in the early stages of each delivery phase
  • Convey that vision to the team and define clear milestones for alignment purposes, and so they can make holistic design decisions that will support the delivery
  • Create & maintain a backlog of deliverable stories for the team
  • Be the stakeholders’ proxy in the team, able to make quick, firm decisions when it comes to scope, requirements and prioritization/triage
  • Involve team members when their perspective can bring value, including times when it can support scope and priority decisions
  • Follow up during the implementation and testing phases to ensure delivery satisfies the requirements
  • Drive the backlog review and estimation process and take part in planning activities
  • Use modern, bespoke tools to build backlog maps and visual roadmaps
  • Capture non-functional requirements and keep supportability in mind
  • Define acceptance criteria and tests up front as part of a Business-Driven Development approach
  • Use your personal experience with Agile delivery to take advantage of its strengths and mitigate its potential risks
  • Understand various software concepts to discuss problems and orchestrate strategy with various talents in the team (including but not limited to: real-time programming, high availability, TDD, BDD, UX design, DevOps concerns…)
  • Work with distributed teams

Base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package. Pay is based on candidate skills and experience.New York pay range$135,000—$175,000 USD
