The Security team’s mission is to strengthen Okta’s position as the leading Identity-as-a-service solutions provider by identifying and resolving risks to employees, products, and, most importantly, our customers. With the ever-increasing pace of cloud application adoption, companies are struggling to find ways to accurately assess risk and act at the speed of their business.

The Product Security Vulnerability Management Lead role drives, guides, and defines the overarching process and policies to handle Product Security risks and vulnerabilities and track their intake, progress, and resolution. 

The Product Security Vulnerability Management Lead actively collaborates with Okta’s technology leaders to develop and drive security strategies across Okta. This position is crucial in ensuring that Okta’s systems and services meet the highest security standards and align with our customers’ requirements. This position requires expertise in security operations, vulnerability management,  secure development lifecycle, and program management.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for defining, improving, formalizing, and implementing Okta’s Product Security Vulnerability Management Program for all products and business units  
• Report on the health of the program and overall status of the identified risks
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows, governance, and communication of vulnerabilities and risks
• Work closely with Engineering, IT, Product, and Security teams on cross-functional initiatives
• Communicate and track the implementation of complex vulnerability mitigation strategies to development organizations

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Product Security, Application Security, Vulnerability Management, Secure Development Lifecycle, and Security Operations
• Advanced working experience in program/project management and project management tools
• Working experience in risk management
• Working experience in data analysis, aggregation, and reporting tools
• Knowledge of Product Security concepts
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in technical writing, process documentation, and executive presentations

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$140,000—$189,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $156,000—$211,000 USD
