The Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate Product Strategy Analyst to work across our Product Management, Product Operations, Leadership and Board to assist in the building of rigor and consistent approaches for product development efforts. In this role, you’ll be working with senior audiences to help understand the market opportunity of features and translate that into a business case and ROI model for future investment. In addition, you will focus on assisting product management leadership in delivering against a product vision and defending against distractions and resource drains. 

You are passionate about product strategy and have experience building financial models, understanding usage and customer data and building compelling decks for communication with senior audiences.   

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Strategy Definition- You will assist in the building and driving an ROI framework that the product team uses across solo’ed areas to define the product strategy, ensuring roadmap decisions are aligned with market opportunity and company business objectives.
  • ROI Models and Business Case - Lead the development of financial models to support various product investment thesis’. This includes the spreadsheet work and data analysis, summarizing findings and presenting to senior audiences
  • Pricing & Packaging Assistance - Central to product strategy is product pricing and packaging.  You will be a central member within our Pricing and Packaging Initiation committee, assisting in modeling out the data to verify pricing model implications on revenue.
  • Buy, Build, Partner - Assisting in the crafting of the “how to” of a given product initiative- buy, build, partner to ensure a consistent approach across senior leaders in product.
  • Product Operations - Support product operations initiatives that align with roadmap & strategy prioritization, such as standardizing the way our product team is gathering and managing feedback from customers and internal teams. 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Financial Background - you are experienced in building business cases that align with and support overall company financial budgets and reporting. 
  • Passionate about product - You have worked in or worked closely with product teams in SaaS or technology companies. 
  • Data and spreadsheet savvy - you need to love working in excel and building a model.
  • Data translator- you need to easily understand the data, translate into compelling summaries and help us prioritize what’s important.
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial - we want to move fast and assess many ideas to find the nuggets of gold.  All the answers may not be in front of you but, you love to help find a proxy for use to move forward and estimate. 
  • A “get stuff done” mentality that enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working collaboratively with their team, finance partners and product management counterparts. 
  • Ability to identify key metrics and communicate results and implications to executive stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of software lifecycle concepts, methodologies, and practices

Bonus points if you have experience with:

  • Product led growth strategies
  • Developing partnerships 
  • Business strategy, general management
  • Working in a highly distributed organization
