 Chewy is hiring a Production Control Area Manager at our automated Fulfillment Center in Houston,TX!  They will play a crucial role in meeting and exceeding established productivity, labor, and quality objectives. What You'll Do:

  • Handle the fast pace associated with day-to-day operations in a fast-paced E-Commerce distribution environment and maintain a positive, motivating leadership presence.

Establishment and Enforcement of Standards:

  • Ensure that standards are established and followed. Work actively with facility leaders to ensure site success.

Container Management:

  • Manage accurate unloading and put away of containers in a timely basis in line with planned values.

Quality Oversight:

  • Oversee Inventory Control metrics and goals, including LIA/RDR/Lost & Found research, OTS, accuracy, and Oracle SLA.

Training and Development:

  • Ensure that proper training and guidance occurs for your direct reports and verify that standards are understood and adhered to. Provide feedback and positive reinforcement on safety, quality of work, productivity, and attitude.

Performance Management:

  • Handle your direct reports' questions, concerns, and follow up with the intent to maintain a positive work environment and earn trust. Drive standards through the day by motivating, teaching, and holding team members accountable to known standards and positive reinforcement of the correct behavior.

Communication and Leader Relations:

  • Actively develop and promote open lines of communication to maintain and develop positive relations, encourage involvement in the process, and recognize talent for their accomplishments and ideas.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Complete necessary documentation for tracking attendance, productivity, behavior, and safety in line with the expectations of the role.

Process Improvement:

  • Be able to dive deep within a process and drive process improvements through associate feedback, analyzing data, and up-channeling changes to obtain site goals.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate Degree - Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate skills in working on computers – Microsoft Office package, DbVisualizer Pro, and MSSMS19.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends if business requires it.
  • Position may require travel.
