The role

The Production Planner (PP) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of food products within Youfoodz fresh ready to eat meal manufacturing. This position involves coordinating various elements of the production process to meet customer demands, optimize resource utilization, and uphold quality standards. The Production Planner collaborates with cross- functional teams, including production and procurement to achieve seamless operations.

 

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES• Production Scheduling:  o Develop and maintain a detailed production schedule based on sales forecasts,customer orders, and inventory levels.  o Balance production capacity with demand to maximize efficiency and minimize leadtimes.  o Adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand orunforeseen issues.• Inventory Management:  o Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and product obsolescence.  o Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and accurate availability of raw     materials.

• Collaboration and Communication:  o Work closely with production teams to communicate production schedules and    priorities.  o Facilitate regular meetings with cross-functional teams to address production   challenges and maintain alignment.

• Resource Optimization:  o Coordinate with the production team to optimize labor, equipment, and other   resources to meet production targets.  o Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce   costs.• Quality Assurance:  o Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that production processes adhere to   quality standards.  o Implement measures to address and prevent production issues that may affect   product quality.• Documentation and Reporting:  o Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and other   relevant data.  o Generate reports on production performance, identify trends, and recommend   improvements

What you’ll bring

QualificationsEssential:• Advanced use of Microsoft office suite, especially Excel.

Desirable• APICS CPIM or equivalent

 

Experience

Essential:• Experience in a production planning role, ideally within FMGC• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills• Demonstrated high level of attention to detail

Desirable:• Preferred experience with food industry• Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.• Apple Mac experience
