About the Role

The Production Planning Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end production planning, capacity strategy and execution for the Factor business. This role is critical to delivering fresh, high-quality meals to customers while improving our costs, production efficiencies, minimizing waste, and supporting rapid growth and menu innovation, helping us deliver the best possible value to our customers.

You will lead and develop a team of production planners, ensuring alignment across sites and consistency in planning standards, tools, and decision making. You will partner closely with Production, Demand Planning, Procurement, Operations and Logistics to align production plans with route capacity and outbound execution.

What you will be doing:

Own short term and long term capacity planning, including holiday and seasonality planning, translating demand forecasts into executable production plans

  • Own capacity readiness across labor, equipment, and production days, and play a critical role in balancing operational constraints with customer delivery commitments
  • Present production planning overviews in monthly S&OP meeting, providing clear visibility into risks, capacity constraints, trade-offs and areas of opportunity
  • Lead labor planning in partnership with Operations, ensuring workforce plans align with production demand and capacity assumptions
  • Partner closely with Logistics to align production plans with route capacity and delivery execution
  • Work closely with Culinary, Product, Menu Planning and Demand Planning to support menu changes and new launches
  • Improve and standardize production planning process and tool enhancements to improve scalability, efficiency, and execution across Factor ON and Factor AB
  • Leverage planning systems and analytics to drive data-based decisions
  • Achieve production planning target KPI’s
  • Lead, coach and develop and lead a team of high performers to support increasing business scale and complexity
  • All other duties, as assigned.

At a minimum, you have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a similarly quantitative discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working in production planning, supply chain planning, or a related role in a manufacturing environment
  • Detailed knowledge of and interest in supply chain management best practice
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and/or Planning tool experience
  • Outstanding and highly structured communication skills, with the ability to build and effectively communicate a strategic plan to stakeholders at all levels within an organization
  • A love for solving complex, ambiguous problems in a fast-paced environment with constant change and limited direction
  • Experience managing and leading a team of direct and indirect reports
