Toast, Inc. seeks a Program Lead to help grow and mature the Financial Crimes Compliance (BSA/AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption) program to ensure the company meets all relevant laws and requirements domestically and internationally.  The Program Lead, Financial Crimes Compliance will play a critical role in defining and expanding strategic and operational responsibilities for the program through documenting policies and procedures, establishing transaction monitoring and investigation frameworks, and assisting the BSA Officer in managing day-to-day responsibilities.

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Develop and maintain Financial Crimes Compliance procedures related to investigations, Suspicious Activity Monitoring and Reporting, Sanctions Screening, Internal Escalations, etc.
  • Build and maintain a Quality Control program for investigation processes and transaction monitoring currently worked by Fraud teams.
  • Assist the BSA Officer in developing transaction monitoring rules to identify and report financial crime.
  • Assist in developing an investigations/operations team to support new and existing responsibilities, as well as Toast’s growth into additional markets/products.
  • Work with Compliance Testing teams to define and execute internal testing of Toast’s compliance with Financial Crime regulations, laws, and internal policies.
  • Manage projects and remediation efforts with business units and technical teams.
  • Report suspicious activity to FinCEN per regulatory requirements and escalate unusual activity to Sponsor Banks when necessary.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise to internal stakeholders regarding financial crime regulation and best practices.
  • Facilitate external audit, testing, and examination requests.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in a BSA/AML or Fraud role, preferably in a fast-paced FinTech environment.
  • Track record of career growth and commitment to taking on new responsibilities
  • Demonstrated track record of self-sufficiency and ability to lead projects independently with little oversight.
  • Strong working knowledge of Financial Crime typologies and relevant regulations.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet firm deadlines.

 

Special Sauce* (Nice to Haves)

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
  • Familiarity with SQL, Looker, or Snowflake
  • Experience leading investigations and operational teams to detect and monitor for unusual activity indicative of Financial Crime.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.Pay Range$88,000—$141,000 USD
