Role Description

As a Program Manager in Core, you will lead strategic programs to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our Product Development teams. You will be embedded within our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) teams to accelerate and deliver strategic programs. As a Program Manager, you will leverage your experience to document the vision for the program, create clear work-back plans with measurable milestones, align resources to deliver on those plans, and report on results to cross-functional stakeholders and organization leadership.

This role will have visibility to the senior-most leaders within the organization and you will serve as a connector for individuals from all levels of the organization. You have experience establishing robust, and repeatable processes which will leave a lasting impact on the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage strategic programs from start to end, including documenting the program vision, creating clear work-back plans, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and reporting on results
  • Coordinate project-related communications and updates across teams, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential bottlenecks or issues; propose solutions to keep projects on schedule
  • Organize and lead cross-functional meetings to review project status, identify roadblocks, and surface key decisions
  • Facilitate communication between departments, ensuring that all teams have the information they need to meet their responsibilities
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for optimization and suggesting new approaches to enhance efficiency
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in a tech or product environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Basic understanding of product development lifecycle
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected challenge
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • A passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to the success of innovative products
  • Bias for Action - you will take on complex problems and programs and will need to aid teams to operate faster and reduce the workload
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in consulting, business operations, project management strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in a SaaS environment
  • Previous experience as a Product Manager or a Technical Product Manager
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Airtable, Asana, etc.).

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

If you are assessed at the IC3 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $122,400 - $144,000 - $165,600.• US Zone 2: $110,200 - $129,600 - $149,000.• US Zone 3: $97,900 - $115,200 - $132,500. If you are assessed at the IC4 level, below are the current Salary/OTE ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $153,000 - $180,000 - $207,000.• US Zone 2: $137,700 - $162,000 - $186,300.• US Zone 3: $122,400 - $144,000 - $165,600. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.
